Local Tournaments
FGCCFL holds at least one All Events tournament per calendar month during the competitive season from September to February.
All member schools are welcome to attend. Tournaments are held on Saturdays and offer 3-5 rounds of competition for all participants.

FGCCFL Grand Finals
FGCCFL holds an annual Grand Final Tournament in February; the top students in each event qualify for NCFL Grand Nationals, to be held Memorial Day weekend in Chicago. The number of qualifiers in each event is based upon the number of member schools; historically, we have qualified six entries/teams per event.
NSDA District Tournaments
National Speech and Debate Association member schools in the Florida Sunshine District are also invited to attend our NSDA District Tournaments to qualify for the centennial National Speech and Debate Tournament, to be held June 2025 in West Des Moines, Iowa. Assuming sufficient entries, we will offer competition in the following divisions:
- Debate: Cross-Examination Policy Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate
- Speech: U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking, International Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking
- Interpretation: Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation
- Congressional Debate: House, Senate
Our district qualifies two or three entries in each event to Nationals based on the number of participants in the event.
FGCCFL Novice Championship
At the end of the competitive season in March, FGCCFL holds a Novice Championship for students, in their first year of FGCCFL membership who have not accrued more than 25 NSDA merit points in high school.
Competition will be offered in all NCFL events. Experienced seniors are invited to judge.
2024-2025 Tournament Schedule
Invitations will be posted 4-5 weeks before each tournament. Registration must be completed on Tabroom by 9:00 PM on the Thursday before tournament week.
